If you’re anything like us you just cannot resist seeking out planty places wherever you go… a recent trip to Norwich provided a surprisingly satisfying plant fix.
We found a lovely little collection of small but perfectly formed plant shops in the city centre, and a true jungle a little further afield which is a must-see for any plant fan. Take a look at our highlights below.
This is the biggest of the plant shops we found in the city. Elm combines irresistible collections of homewares with increasingly popular plants. Not just your usual plant selection too, we spotted a huge hanging Tilandsia, the tiniest of orchids and an almost fully white Fittonia nestled amongst unique ceramics hand made by Elm’s in-house ceramicist and owner.

This brilliantly styled botanical shop is a very popular permanent resident at Norwich Market. Run by an ex-estate agent now loving life surrounded by greenery, it’s a little chipboard-clad treasure trove of house plants, pots and macrame wall hangings. Our pick of the products? Some lovely Peperomia rotundifolia

We found The Plant Den nestled downstairs in a corner of Norwich’s long standing independent department store Jarrold. It’s a plant-packed little space with an always evolving selection of house plants, cacti and currently some cheerful little Fittonia terrariums, perfect for those under-waterers amongst us!

A brilliant garden centre, plant nursery and cafe, out of the city, but well worth the trip. We loved browsing the huge palms and architectural cacti growing in the nursery, then surrounded ourselves with huge tropical plants in the cafe.
